This workshop explains that each behavior serves one of four functions (purpose). Not only will you understand each function but learn techniques on how to find the purpose (function) of the behavior so you can better address it in the classroom. Once you have identified why the student is having the behavior you can better plan interventions. Evidence based interventions will be shared throughout the presentation with handouts on each explaining how to implement them in your environment. Learn how to change behavior through reinforcement strategies so you can be preventative rather than reactive in your methods.
