Abstract: PUSH USDA is a program presented by the Research
Development Office consisting of two half-day sessions that help new and
experienced researchers better position themselves to be competitive for USDA
grant programs, particularly those offered by the National Institute of Food
and Agriculture (NIFA). Participants become familiar with
USDA’s mission, priorities, organizational structure, and competitive grant
programs; assess their readiness to apply; learn best practices for developing
relationships with Program Officers; practice using the USDA Letter-of-Intent
framework to map their proposals; and learn strategies for writing for
success. Session 1 is 1/11/19 and Session 2 is 1/18/19. Both
sessions are from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm in Service Building 125.
Note: Continental breakfast will be served at each session.
