Sessions are for UNH employees who are not eligible for insurance under the University's benefit plan
Get Info on New Insurance Options and Assistance with Enrollment: You Don't Have to Figure it All Out Alone!
Beginning in January 2014, many people who have been uninsured will be eligible for financial assistance to purchase health insurance under the Affordable Care Act. It is not hard to qualify for a subsidy. For example, a single person earning $45,000 or less is eligible, as is a family of four earning $94,000 or less.
If you are feeling overwhelmed by the amount of information, frustrated by trying to enroll online or wonder if you might be eligible for a subsidy, help is available from trained and certified "patient navigators" or application counselors. Patient navigators have completed an extensive training course teaching them how to enroll people in health plans through the insurance exchange.
UNH will hold information and enrollment sessions from 12:30-1:30 PM or 2:30-3:30 PM on both these dates:
•December 11, 2013 in MUB Theater I
•January 15, 2014 in MUB Theater II
Staff from local community health centers will conduct a brief presentation, will answer questions and even help you fill out an application for enrollment right then and there.
