Dr. Fredrik Meiton is a historian of the modern Middle East. He studies the intersection of politics, science and the environment, especially in the context of colonial development.
Dr. Jeannie Sowers' academic research focuses on political and environmental change in the Middle East and North Africa. Her recent work looks at the effect of war and conflict on civilian livelihoods and infrastructures.
This talk is part of the New Hampshire International Seminar series co-sponsored by the International Affairs Program and the Global Education Center.
