Social media is another platform for researchers to share findings with broader audiences, attract collaborators, and remove various boundaries for brainstorming and problem-solving. It also is another impact measure of one’s research and scholarship (altmetric scores). Yet, using social media effectively is not always intuitive and may feel more like an additional, and questionable, burden.
We have three experts to present on the philosophies, strategies, and implications of social media as it relates to research and scholarship: Kris Bowden, Producer of Social Media, and Taylor Sievers, Associate Producer of Social Media, of UNH’s Communications and Public Affairs office, along with Eleta Exline, Associate Professor and Scholarly Communication Librarian.
This Collaboration Café is co-hosted by the Graduate School and CoRE program and, as always, all members of the UNH community are invited.
