Annual Bruce E. Friedman Award Honors Katherine J. Morneau (JD ’05)
The Warren
B. Rudman Center at UNH Franklin Pierce School of Law and 603 Legal Aid are
pleased to celebrate Katherine J. Morneau (JD ’05) as the recipient of the 2021
Bruce E. Friedman Award. The public is invited to a special – and first ever
virtual – ceremony to celebrate her achievements on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at
5:30 pm.
Catherine
E. Shanelaris, Esq. (JD ’92) will present this year’s award to Attorney

Honoring
Bruce Friedman’s Legacy
The Award
honors a UNH Franklin Pierce School of Law graduate and member of the New
Hampshire bar who exemplifies Bruce Friedman’s commitment to representing the
indigent through exemplary pro bono service. Professor Friedman was the founder
of the law school's civil practice clinic.
Virtual
Segment on Pro Bono Service
The
event also features a virtual segment: Pro
Bono Service in NH – a View from the Bench. Attendees will be moved into
virtual rooms hosted by state court judges who will lead discussions about the
need for and value of pro bono legal work. There also will be a virtual
discussion room for non-legal professionals.
