Based in Boston, MA this two year rotational program provides significant exposure to Liberty Mutual’s finance community through cross-training within various finance departments.  Each rotation provides a high-level understanding of how finance is used within the insurance industry and provides you with the opportunity to contribute through challenging work. 

While on rotation, you will continue to receive mentoring and training designed to drive your professional development all while having access to leadership teams throughout the Finance and Accounting organization. Rotations are available within our strategic business units and corporate departments where you will have the opportunity to participate in finance related work such as reporting, financial analysis, planning, and budgeting.  The program offers a well-developed career path and upon successful completion of both the rotations and end of program interview process, successful candidates will be offered competitive positions within Finance and Accounting at Liberty.

Responsibilities

Participate in a robust on-the-job training opportunities to learn about the insurance industry, enhance your skills and fine-tune your business acumen. 
Gain exposure to multiple finance teams and senior leaders to understand larger corporate goals as they align with your work. 
Gather and analyze data from various business sources using both qualitative and quantitative methods to identify opportunities and make actionable recommendations to the business.
Work on projects of increasing responsibility, both individually and as part of a team, to build experience and skills at a pace matched to your demonstrated ability.

 

Qualifications

0-2 years of professional experience

Bachelor's degree with a minimum 3.3 cumulative GPA. Additional requirements might apply

Must have permanent work authorization in the United States 

Bachelor’s degree in Finance and/or Accounting 

Attention to detail in a fast-paced work environment, and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously 

Strong interpersonal, communication (both verbal and written), organizational and leadership skills

Experience with technical programs including MS Office Suite and a strong working knowledge of Excel
