This ongoing series, ‘Civil Liberties and the Presidency’, will give candidates a chance to discuss their vision and plans for the advancement of civil rights, and an opportunity for constituents to ask questions that impact their lives. The speaker series is an integral part of the ACLU of New Hampshire’s ACLU Voter Campaign, which aims to make civil rights a priority issue for voters and candidates in the 2020 New Hampshire presidential primary. As part of this push, the ACLU is training volunteers on how to talk to candidates about civil liberties, meeting with candidates from across the political spectrum to discuss their stances on various issues, and welcoming presidential candidates to partake in Civil Liberties and the Presidency. The ACLU of New Hampshire and the Warren B. Rudman Center at the University of New Hampshire School of Law are joining together to host this one-hour evening program for each participating candidate, with the events spread out over the course of 2019.
Doors open at 5:30 PM and will close at 6:00
