Abstract: Dr. Gardner will present Dimensions, a linked research knowledge system that
makes it easy to find and analyze the most relevant research information;
uncover evidence of impact, reach and engagement; and gather insights to inform
future research activity. Dimensions can be very useful for improving grant
applications; seeing what has been funded recently and historically in your
area (you can paste your entire proposal abstract into the search function and
see what has been funded in closely related areas); finding collaborators or
new hires to target; and helping develop younger faculty by purposefully
developing their network.
