Register Today for our March 2 Workshop: Wakanda Forever! An Intergenerational Equity Workshop

Intergenerational equity is the practice of treating everyone fairly and justly regardless of age, with special consideration to the structural factors that privilege some age groups over others. Wakanda Forever is a two-hour workshop that focuses on the importance of Intergenerational Equity while using examples from the blockbuster movie Black Panther. During the workshop, participants will review a framework developed by Everyday Democracy partners and staff as they discuss how to use an intergenerational equity lens in their own community, and begin to develop action plans to build bridges across age divides.

By integrating the principles of Intergenerational Equity: Equitable Decision-Making Power, Intergenerational Learning, Addressing Structural Racism, Collective Leadership, and Evaluation and Sustainability, community change agents can address the individual, collective, and institutional issues as they work towards positive community change. We are pleased to welcome our colleague from Everyday Democracy, Sagacity Walker, who designs and facilitates this workshop.

The $50 fee may be reduced or waived for students and those with financial need. Please contact Michele Holt-Shannon at michele.holt-shannon@unh.edu for a promotion code. Register Here
