Memorial Union Building, room 338/340
Event Type
Student Organization Sponsored Event
Brittany Reitze

This event is in honor of sexual assault awareness month, hosted by the YWCA and the Student Organization of Social Work from UNH. There will be multiple crisis centers, organizations, and agencies in attendance providing information on what they do and how they support sexual assault survivors. We are also pleased to announce our two speakers from the YWCA and AmeriCorps Victim Assistance Program, Katie Parent, BSW and Kaitlin Chatterton, BS in Arabic/Middle Eastern Studies. They will provide an overview of sexual assault and rape culture. We are also excited about our third speaker Detective Sean Wilton speaking about sexual assault on campus.
Please join us for this informational/networking event. There will be free food and beverages provided. We are encouraging everyone to wear a black dress or black tie to symbolize our event name “my little black dress does not mean yes” in hopes of diminishing the stigma behind the idea of clothing being a form of consent.

*Look for our event ushers wearing all black and a teal ribbon*
