UNH Concert Choir and UNH Symphony Orchestra
The Concert Choir will be performing Zoltan Kodaly's Missa Brevis. The Symphony Orchestra portion of the program will feature works by Lutoslawski and Tchaikovsky. Witold Lutoslawski was a Polish composer of the 20th century. His composition Little Suite for Orchestra is the composer's unique take on a series of Polish folk dances. Similarly, Pyotr Illyich Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 2 in C minor has earned the nickname, "Little Russian", for its use of three Ukrainian folk melodies.
