Sunday, October 6th NAMI-NH Walk for Recovery from Mental Illness--Join Team UNH Social Work! Our team is coordinated this year by members of the Phi Alpha Social Work Honor Society. What is Mental Illness Awareness Week (MIAW)? MIAW is an annual observance sponsored by the National Alliance on Mental Illness to focus attention on the high incidence of mental illness in America. The purpose of the observance is to educate the public and reduce the stigma that surrounds mental illness.
Please join students and faculty in the Social Work Department’s 9th annual celebration honoring National Mental Illness Awareness Week. This event was coordinated by social work graduate students enrolled in the course, Human Behavior and the Social Environment III (HBSE III).
